Improving the quantity and quality of delivery throughout the network means having the best possible workforce deployed in a number of settings. Wesport is committed to help you develop your most precious resource.

Wesport are committed to continually supporting the professional staff as well as the volunteer network within the sport and physical activity sector. Our designated Workforce Development Officer aims to ensure that Wesport has a fit for purpose workforce which will drive towards increasing participation and inproving pathways for performance across the West of England.

Wesport aims to grow demand and build capacity by improving and investing in the existing and potential workforce. This will include the quality and quantity of professional officers within our partner organisations as well as volunteers within community sports organisations and individual volunteers who help at the thousands of events each year encouraging people to take part in sport.

This will be managed through the developing skills and capacity through training, education and sharing learning.

Workforce Development covers four areas: Professionals, Clubs, Coaches and Volunteers.
