Sported. is Coming to the West of England
Who are sported.? is the leading UK sport for development charity – empowering community groups to improve the lives of disadvantaged young people through sport.
What do sported. do? provides business support and grant funding to voluntary and community sports organisations through a network of Regional Managers and volunteers.
What is happening in the West of England – On Tuesday 26th June 2012 sported. will deliver a free engagement evening, which will include membership registration and the delivery of the “How to succeed in securing funding for my club” workshop. Membership registration starts from 5.30pm, with the workshop commencing at 6.30pm.
Who can attend? – Any community group, voluntary organisation or sports club that delivers sport to meet one of these outcomes:
- Building strong communities
- Reducing crime and anti-social behaviour
- Removing barriers to participation for marginalised groups
- Developing young people by providing them with skills for the workplace and life
- Education in health and well being
Venue – University of the West of England, Frenchay Campus, Coldharbour Lane, Bristol, BS16 1QY
