Description: 24 Hours Per Week (Fixed Term for 12 months)
The Youth Service requires a Sports Development Officer who can inspire all young people, across a range of abilities, to engage in sports and physical activities. You must be a dynamic self-starter, able to deliver sports and pro-active in engaging with partners to develop a sports strategy for the Youth Service. The post involves delivering sports coaching in Youth Hubs and mentoring young people/volunteers to become proficient to enable programmes to be sustainable.
This is an exciting opportunity which has been funded by the Barclays open spaces for sports programme. The post holder will be expected to have a flexible approach and will be required to work evenings and weekends.
