Incredible Year for Cycling Continues with Free Bike Rides in Bath
Gold medals galore, Bradley Wiggins winning the Tour de France and now the start of Britain’s biggest pro-cycling race, The Tour of Britain – how could you not be inspired to dust off your bike and go for a ride?
As this incredible year for cycling continues with Bradley Wiggins, Mark Cavendish and Team Sky competing on home soil, in the Tour of Britain – Bath residents are encouraged to get on their bikes with a series of free, local bike rides courtesy of Sky Ride Local.
A number of Sky Ride Local rides are taking place in Bath and these fun, free, organised rides are the perfect way for family and friends to get out and explore the local area on two wheels. The rides are at a range of different levels and cater for all ages and abilities, so there really is something for everyone. Even if you’ve not been on a bike for a while, the friendly British Cycling trained Ride Leaders are there to offer help and support.
These Sky Ride Local rides are part of a national campaign including free events, activities, information and support to help and inspire people to re-discover the fun of bike riding and get 1 million people cycling regularly by 2013.
