Sport and Recreation Alliance - Sports Club of the Year Award 2011
The Sport and Recreation Alliance (formerly CCPR), Sports Club of the Year Awards have been running for 18 years and next year the structure of these awards will change. This change is designed to highlight and honour the breadth of delivery that sports clubs now undertake.
Not only will clubs have the opportunity to compete for the Community Sports Club of the Year Award but they will also be considered for new awards for diversity and volunteer management. The Awards for 2011 are:
• Community Sports Club of the Year
• Open and Inclusive Club of the Year
• Best Club Volunteer Management Programme
• Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) of the Year
• School Club Links Award
• Professional Sports Club Community Programme of the Year
The Sport and Recreation Alliance is encouraging its members, the national governing and representative bodies of sport and recreation, and the County Sports Partnerships, to each endorse and nominate up to three of their clubs for the Awards. The Sport and Recreation Alliance is keen to encourage applications from all types of sport and recreation organisations in order to reflect the diversity of the members, and from organisations that are open to all ages and abilities.
All the information you need to submit a nomination is included in the attached nomination form.
The nominations close on Friday 25 February 2011 at 5pm.
