Young Games Maker Programme Application Process Launched
Over 2,000 young people will be recruited from across the UK to volunteer at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
London 2012 organisers are looking for recognised organisations such as Get Set Network schools and colleges, youth or sports clubs, and community and volunteering groups to put forward teams of young volunteers to help fulfill vital roles and help make the Games happen. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get involved in the 2012 Games.
Approximately 250 teams of young people, who must be aged 16 or over on 1 July 2012 and under 18 on 1 January 2012, will join the adult Games Makers next summer to help stage the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
More information about the Young Games Maker programme can be found at: www.london2012.com/young-games-maker. Applications open on 22nd September and close on 31st October.
