£5.1 million Lottery boost for local sport
A community sports project spearheaded by a young man recognised on the Queen’s New Year’s Honours list for his services to community sport is among 32 projects benefitting in the first round of Sport England’s Community Sport Activation Fund. The projects will share in a total of £5.1 million of National Lottery funding.

Lots of people already play sport, but we still want to get more people playing more often – we also want to improve the number and range of opportunities for people to play sport - particularly those who are disadvantaged or living in Priority Neighbourhoods. To do this we aim to raise the profile of sport, linking into national campaigns and developing community-led sports programmes.

New Talent Hub Sites Announced
Two new Talent Hub venues are to commence in the next month to expand on the current Talent Hub venue at the University of the West of England.
