Volunteering
Volunteers are the backbone to sport within the UK and form the majority of the sporting workforce. It is important we ensure volunteers are supported and provided with information surrounding opportunities, training and support.
2 million adult volunteers contribute at least 1 hour a week to volunteering within sport. Imagine the hours spent by volunteers if we counted those additional hours and the hours completed by young people!
Sport and Physical activity is supported by this large network of volunteers dedicating hours of time and energy into what they do and are often described as the lifeblood of the industry. Without this volunteer workforce many of the community sport organisations would cease to exist.
Whether you are looking for a volunteer opportunity, trying to find volunteers for your club, programme or event or perhaps you already have volunteers and would like advice on how to support, develop and manage them better, this site will help to point you in the right direction!
If you are interested in volunteering and wish to be added to our database to hear of opportunities please email your interest to sarah.casselden@uwe.ac.uk
If you are able to offer a volunteer placement or opportunity please email the details to sarah.casselden@uwe.ac.uk
