2021 PE Conference
As part of our support for primary schools around the School Sport Premium Funding we offer a West of England Primary PE Conference every year. The content is led by the needs of the schools in the area, helping schools to develop their PE, School Sport and Physical Activity provision.
Active Schools Are Stronger Schools
We loved running our first in person event in nearly two years! We brought our annual conference day forward to the month of October and will continue to run them in Term 1 from here out.
The conference took place on Tuesday 19th October at Shaftesbury Park, home of Dings Crusaders RFC.
80 teachers and headteachers attended a range of workshops including The revised Ofsted framework, Inclusion in PE, school sport and physical activity, Reshaping PE post Covid19, and Outdoor learning, health and wellbeing. To view the presentation slides from the day click here.
Mike Diaper – Sport England, Executive Director of Children and Young People, Tackling Inactivity.
'Uniting the Movement and what the last 18 Months Have Meant for Children’s Activity Levels’.
A huge thank you to Mike Diaper for delivering the keynote.
It was really useful to see the national picture, how that translates locally and what that means for schools.
