We are currently advertising for 4 roles here at Wesport.  A summary of each role is provided below, along with links to the relevant candidate packs & application form.

 

We are delighted to be working with the Moon Charity Practice recruitment consultancy again after a recent successful round of recruitment for Trustees; this time, they are managing the recruitment for 2 roles as detailed below.

Director for Place & Communities (via Moon Charity Practice)

 

This is a full-time role (37 hours per week, Monday-Friday).

Salary: £42,645-£45,262

This is a new executive leadership role within the organisation which sits directly below the CEO. This role is tasked with aiding the development and implementation of Wesport’s strategy, providing leadership and direction to staff, and managing resources to achieve our vision and mission.

Responsible for Strategic Direction, Leadership and Management of Wesport’s influencing role, relationships and delivery across key places and in communities across the West of England. This is a pivotal role to the Place & Communities area of work.

To meet this challenge, you will be a proven strategic leader with the ability to apply whole system thinking as well as build & maintain cross-sector partnerships. This includes connecting & sharing Wesport’s work with our varied stakeholders and partners across the West of England, regionally and nationally. You will need to advocate for Wesport and the role that it can play in the sport & physical activity, VCSE, and health system.

You will also have experience in leading beyond authority, setting strategy, managing budgets, evaluating this type of work, and working collaboratively to develop and deliver a shared purpose.

An ability to build trusted relationships across multiple sectors is crucial to the success of this role, as well as the ability to lead & manage a mix of existing and new staff.

Strategic Lead for Marketing, Communications, and Insight (via Moon Charity Practice)

 

This is a full-time role (37 hours per week, Monday-Friday).

Salary: £32,684 - £35,714

The Strategic Lead for Marketing, Communications and Insight will be a key focal point within the Wesport office, with a range of responsibilities to support the ongoing development of the organisation and achievement of its strategic aims. Part of this role will ensure Wesport’s website, social media and marketing channels continue to develop and are kept up to date, promoting the activities and highlighting the impact the organisation has across the West of England. This will include the effective use of a wide range of communication mechanisms.

This role will also embed evaluation and learning across the team and within specific projects. This role will have a deep understanding of the data and insight available to enhance this learning. There will be a focus on place and the communities within.

This role will have a key role within Wesport for sharing a narrative of the change required to help people move more. Demonstrating the impact the organisation has across the West of England.

Strategic Lead for Finance - Maternity Cover: 12 months (direct application via Wesport Application Form)

 

This is a part-time role covering 3 days a week (22.5 hours).  Other allocations of the time would be considered, e.g. the 22.5 hours spread over 4 days.

Salary: £32,682 - £34,674 per annum FTE pro rata

 

This role has the responsibility for the management of the finances for the organisation, both for the day-to-day operations, and for longer term budgeting & forecasting. Robust financial management is crucial for the success of the organisation.

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual that enjoys dealing with finances & spreadsheets to join our team. The Strategic Lead for Finance (12-month maternity cover) will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and the Strategic Lead for Business & Governance to provide day-to-day financial operations for the Wesport team, including budget management, invoice & expenses processing, and other related tasks.

Strategic Lead for Health & Physical Activity (direct application via Wesport Application Form)

 

This is a full-time role (37 hours per week, Monday-Friday).

Salary: £32,864 - £35,714

 

The role will involve advocation for the importance of ‘moving more’ across the local health systems 2 x Integrated Care Systems across the West of England, connection to the local community sector and programme development and management.

This role will work closely with and be supported by the Director of Health, as this role will build on existing connections and manage existing programmes to continue the momentum of progress made so far.

Working across the current evolving local Health systems is complex and requires strategic influencing & advocacy to make an impact, so we are looking for someone with partnership development experience as well as knowledge of working with the health sector.
