20th September 2022
Positive Activities Grants available

Positive Activities Grants are now live. The grant is open for applications from Tuesday 20th September 2022 until 12pm on the 21st October 2022. Grants can be for a maximum of £10,000 (no minimum amount) and need to demonstrate impact on mental health and reducing health inequalities faced by communities across South Gloucestershire.

The focus of the Positives Activities projects, funded for 1 year, is to establish health, nature, and physical activity as golden threads across the BNSSG health and care offer.

As we seek to address health inequalities, there is a focus on our residents with the poorest access to nature and physical activity, who also have the poorest mental health outcomes.

The focus of this programme of work is to support those population groups experiencing the poorest mental health outcomes across BNSSG including:

  • Culturally diverse communities
  • Disabled people
  • People with long term health conditions
  • Those on low incomes
  • LGBT+
  • Females

Wesport have been appointed by South Gloucestershire Council and the Green Social Prescribing Project Board to manage this Positive Activities grants process a part of the ‘Feeling Better in South Gloucestershire’ (FBiSG) and ‘Green Social Prescribing’ (GSP) projects.
